Julie began her career in healthcare over 30 years ago and during this time has worked in a variety of roles across the NHS, Independent and Higher Education Sectors. She is a registered Nurse, qualified in the fields of Adult and Orthopaedic nursing and has, during her career gained significant clinical and managerial experience within the healthcare sector primarily focusing in the inter-operative phase of a clients care. She holds a first class honours degree in Healthcare along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Education
Throughout her career Julie has been a determined advocate of finding new and better ways of working, and does so through a commitment and dedication to working inclusively with people and maintaining a keen interest in professional development of self and others whilst maintaining a core focus on performance. During this time she has been instrumental in facilitating the capacity, capability, quality and development of the learning environment for both students and staff a like. This she believes helps to ensure that students, graduates and other NHS staff are appropriately equipped with the necessary skills and processes of care to support patients whilst they are hospitalized.
More recently Julie has worked at both the Workforce Development Confederation and Strategic Health Authority as the lead for Education Commissioning.
